As a part of AOL’s health and wellness initiative, the office was challenged to come up with ways to introduce healthy activities during weekdays. The winning idea was urban hiking (be a tourist in your own city)… problem: none of us had ever planned a walking tour of San Francisco before.

So we reached out to Boutique Traveler, who had raving reviews, to see if they can make the urban hike idea come to life. Their staff gave great ideas on routes that were historically interesting, scenic and most importantly, got the heart rate going. We decided on a route that appealed to the active members of staff while not alienating those new to fitness. And kept it all within 30 mins.
